Friends of School Fete
Thank you to everyone who supported the summer fete!
It was a super afternoon and the final amount raised was £857.80, which will go towards our outdoor learning project.
Lots of people supported the fete in so many ways! We are very grateful to all of our sponsors, who provided their services for free:
Hayley Ogden with her company Ogden and Metcalf Graphic Design for our poster and brochure.
Joanna Brook for kindly donating all the rosettes with Positively Canine & Jerry Green Dog Rescue for the dog show and prizes that they donated
Michael Aconley for allowing us to have the audio system and bouncy castle free of charge, Michael is available for disco and bouncy castle parties
To Kevin and Lucy White to both of you for all your help with the planning and photography
Simon Burrows thank you so much to you both for our Romans!
Dishforth Bowling Club for showing the children how to bowl at the fete including donating cakes prizes,
C&M Ices for providing the ice cream van and donating a percentage of his profits to school. The ice cream van is available for all parties.
JP Archery for bringing the archery for the fete
Thank you to Jill at the Black Swan in Dishforth for kind donations
Joe Hodgson, the children loved the owls and Joe can be hired for other events
North Yorkshire Police for showing the children into the police car,
Boogie Shoes for some awesome cheerleading!
Thank you to everyone who sponsored the Dog Classes
Thank you to all the stalls for supporting the fete and some of them you will see at our Christmas Fair.
Ouseboots have an online store selling lovely umbrellas, children and adult wellingtons. If you mention Dishforth Primary when you buy a product, school will receive a 10% donation from the total of your sale. You can arrange delivery to home or you can arrange delivery to school on the 28th November when they will be at our Christmas Fair.
I would also like thank Sarah Lynch and the Friends of School team for all their hard work in coordinating the event.
It was a great afternoon and thanks to the generosity of all our supporters raised an amazing amount to support an exciting project in school.
